Bangkok

rooftop2HELLO U.S.A.!

So happy to back in LA after a 21 day trip with my husband to Thailand and Tokyo! We had an amazing time, and over the next few days I will be sharing my favorite looks from the trip. Packing for a vacation is one of my FAVORITE things to do!

Here are some tips/ inspiration for your Asian Adventure wardrobe:

First Stop Bangkok

bangkok

It’s a crazy, hectic, and FAST moving city with beautiful temples, delicious Thai food, tuk- tuks that weave in and out of traffic like a boss, and the most beautiful rooftop bars, pools and views!

Temples:

To respect Buddhist tradition,  you have to cover your shoulders and your ankles when visiting temples. I opted for a long black dress with a flower kimono, and gold shades to match the backdrop.  This look was super easy, comfortable and CHEAP!

Rooftop Bars and Pools:

Bangkok has so many of these with spectacular views. Luckily for us, this one was in the hotel, just a few floors up. The city was shrouded in perpetual smog (not surprising given the traffic jams below), but the views and sunset were breathtaking. I wanted to wear something simple and airy to deal with the HOT days and nearly hot nights, and this BCBG romper dress was perfect!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hope you all had a wonderfully relaxing holiday break. I don’t know about you but I am super excited about getting a fresh start in the new year. This year went by in the blink of an eye, and I am so thankful for all the memories! I started this little blog in July 2015, and I can’t wait to bring you more posts in 2016!

This year my husband and I rang in the New Year in Vegas! We had an amazingly fun time, but my greatest memory of the trip was a desert styled photo shoot. We stumbled upon a tire yard in the middle of nowhere, and took as many pictures as we could before the sun went down. It was FREEZING, but the pictures were totally worth it!!

I am so excited to note that this skirt is now ON SALE for $9! WHATT?!?!?!

Fall in LA

dress 1I love everything about fall, however dressing for the season can be tricky when you live in LA. One day it could be a cool 60°F, and the next 95°F! Which is why my “go-to” outfit for this time of  year are light dresses. I love this one from Harper Trends, because of the burnt orange color and lace detail. What I love about dresses like this one, is that it can easily be layered with an army jacket, or long trench.

Fall Florals!

Florals 4

Hello Blogging Universe, sorry it’s been so long since my last post. My latest project has been transitioning all my spring and summer wardrobe to fall (groundbreaking, I know!). But let’s be honest, how many of us want to run out and go shopping for the latest fall trends, I know I do! But, before you spend a pretty penny, go through your wardrobe and ask yourself these questions, and follow these simple tips:

QUESTIONS:

1.) Can I wear this floral crop top with a sweater or jacket?

2.) Would this summer dress look cute with boots?

3.) Can I wear this jean skirt with a chunky sweater?

4.) Do I already have this color sweater in the back of my closet?

5.) Are these florals too summery i.e. too colorful for fall/winter?

** Prints to stay away from*

Palm Trees ( I know these were big for summer, but try not to throw them into your fall wardrobe!) Sunflowers, and bright colors

TIPS:

1.) Unless it’s still 100 degrees where you’re from, aka- LA, then it’s time to put your cut-off shorts away!

2.) The 70’s are back in a BIG way, so time to go out and get some bell-bottoms if you don’t already have them! They look great on every body type and help elongate the legs if you find the right cut, I promise!

3.) Time to move those neon colors you wore to Cabo to the back of the closet.

4.) Don’t disregard light clothing, as you can layer it throughout the season.

5.) Time to pull down your hats, scarves and boots, and make inventory as to what colors and styles you already may have!

Shut the Front Dior!

Shut the front dior 4

This shirt speaks for itself- literally, and when I saw it I immediately fell in love with the saying! My collection of graphic tees is growing by the day because of their versatility and comfort! I dressed-up this baby pink tee from HarperTrends with a cut- out skirt and metallic heels. However, I have even worn this to brunch and the gym and received so many compliments. To make it more casual, try pairing it with pants, or sweats like I did! And let’s be honest, who isn’t excited to “shut the front dior” on summer, and say hello Fall!
